As the Risk & Safety Specialist, Cassie is responsible for implementing, improving, and monitoring the safety and risk management processes within CCMI.
She graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Biology & Environmental Sciences and went on to serve two AmeriCorps terms: first with Green Iowa AmeriCorps, then with Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity. After that, Cassie stayed on with Habitat to lead an AmeriCorps Disaster Response Team, later becoming a Construction Manager. Cassie is excited to apply her safety expertise in a setting that values environmental stewardship and community engagement!
Outside of work, Cassie enjoys spending time outdoors, walking her dog, building things, getting lost in a good book, and embracing all things whimsical.
