Carrying on the CCC Legacy

Blue skies and warm sun set the stage for the annual gathering of the CCC Legacy, held in Saint Paul September 24-27. Two dozen CCC enthusiasts from 10 states attended the event to commemorate the important work accomplished by the CCC. Activities included interactive CCC presentations and the Greatest Generation exhibit at the Minnesota Historical Society, visits to the CCC-built state fair DNR building and Phalen memorial, a party with Minnesota Corps alumni featuring musician Ann Reed at Flat Earth Brewing Co., a bus tour up to Jay Cooke State Park and a chance to volunteer with our young corps members on National Public Lands Day. We were honored to have four “CCC boys” in attendance along with family and friends.
