Resource Technician – Deep Portage Learning Center
Deep Portage Learning Center is looking for a motivated, hard-working employee tasked with keeping campus grounds in good shape, 11 miles of trail systems cleared and usable for programming, and manage renewable biomass heat systems during wintertime. Training will be provided for all systems. There are opportunities to be involved in outdoor education programming if available. Possible temporary on-site housing provided. Employee reports to Assistant Director. Position to start October 2, 2023 and run to mid April 2024. Deep Portage Learning Center is a carbon neutral outdoor education center located on 6,307 acres of forest land that provides outdoor education programming to over 6,000 students a school year. Program activities are seasonally appropriate (fall, winter, spring)
