Sadie Young Served with the Corps in 2014 on the Gooseberry Crew, where she she did projects like invasives management and trail maintenance. Now she is a Project Manager for Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps!


What kind of work did you do when you were in the Corps?

Invasive species management, trail maintenance, water trails maintenance, stream bank stabilization.

What kind of work do you do currently?

Providing in field logistic support and project planning for a historic preservation training program.

What was the most personally meaningful part of your experience with Conservation Corps?

Learning to function well outside of my comfort zone.

How did the experience shape your career/life?

It really got me interested on being on the other side of youth development programs.

What did you do immediately after your time in the Corps?

Went to grad school for environmental science.
