Carolyn Llorens

Carolyn Llorens (she/her/ella) serves as the Human Resources Director. In her role, she has oversight for all of the human resources function, to include policy, compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and the operational day-to-day details. Carolyn worked at the University of Minnesota for the last 14 years in human resources in different collegiate units. Prior to her work at the University of Minnesota, Carolyn served in the Minnesota Army National Guard for seven years. Passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion, Carolyn leverages her experiences in order to create and promote a fair and equitable climate.

Carolyn grew up in Puerto Rico and has lived most of her adult life in Minnesota. She enjoys the outdoors and exploring new places. Carolyn lives in St. Paul and spends most of her free time with her two children.
