A Minnesota native from Rochester, Kim is a Conservation Corps alum who served with the Tofte crew in 2012, and is delighted to be returning to the organization as a Field Coordinator based out of the Duluth office. She looks forward to providing logistical and training support for crews in the field. Kim graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation Ecology from Sterling College in Vermont, and has worked a number of different field jobs before and since. Among her experiences are a fellowship with The Nature Conservancy in Nebraska, wildlife surveying in Montana and California, stream sampling in Colorado, and most recently coordinating and leading volunteer groups in the Boundary Waters with Northwoods Volunteer Connection. In her spare time, Kim loves drawing nature-themed art, hiking and running trails, foraging wild foods, flatwater paddling, and vegetable gardening, among other things.
