AmeriCorps Works: March 9-17, 2013
AmeriCorps week recognizes the extraordinary impact AmeriCorps members make every day. It is a time to salute members and alumni for their service, thank AmeriCorps community partners and communicate AmeriCorps’ impact on communities and on the lives of those who serve. This year’s theme – AmeriCorps Works – reflects AmeriCorps’ triple bottom line return on investment: for the recipients of service, the people who serve and the larger community. Hundreds of events are taking place across the United States including service projects, recruitment fairs, school presentations, alumni gatherings, awards ceremonies and more. Check out some AmeriCorps Week events in Minnesota and Iowa.
Minnesota Events: The InterCorps Council of Minnesota (a peer-led organization of AmeriCorps member representatives serving in Minnesota) has scheduled networking events, trainings, social gatherings and a day of service. Click here to view and register for AmeriCorps Week Events in MSP.
