“Working for the Corps has been an incredible learning opportunity and has given me a great head start on a career with the Forest Service!”
   – Samantha Raingarden

This summer, the Corps joined forces with Superior National Forest (SNF) to hire and train 12 young adult corps members through the Faces of Tomorrow initiative, which provides intensive training and work experience to under-represented individuals to help them move into full-time Forest Service conservation positions. Members completed habitat restoration throughout the forest, removing seven acres of invasive vegetation and 100 hazard trees, conducting four wildlife surveys, improving 15 acres of timber stands, inventorying 10 forest plots and building or improving over three miles of trail. Thank you to our 2015 Superior National Forest AmeriCorps members!
