Resource Specialist – Nobles Soil and Water Conservation District (Worthington, MN)

  • Implement the district tree program by promoting local cost-share, develop windbreak/shelterbelt plans, order trees, plant trees, mat trees, provide tree care recommendations.
  • Implement the district drill program by maintaining and calibrating drills based on grower’s field conditions and seed mixes.
  • Implement district seed sales program by promoting seed sales based on Conservation Reserve Program, State Easements, engineered projects and cover crop seeding specifications.
  • Assist landowners with Minnesota Buffer Law compliance by monitoring parcels through aerial imagery and onsite verification.
  • Administer the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act program for Nobles County.
  • Promote soil health practices and implement state cost-share contracts based on adopted standards.
  • Conduct well, stream and lake monitoring activities, including sampling, data collection, and reporting.
  • Assist with education and outreach activities to promote conservation.
  • Attend training necessary to complete tasks.
  • Support daily operations of conservation district and perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary: $25.37-$35.41/hour
