Strike Team – The Nature Conservancy
TNC in Indiana is hiring for two roles that may be of interest to you! They are creating a brand new team called the “Southern Indiana Strike Team” that focuses on prescribed fire and stewardship in the southern half of the state. The roles are currently established with 3 year terms, with opportunity to extend. The roles are based out of the Brown County office in Nashville, IN.

- Southern Indiana Strike Team Member – Job # 55861 – The Southern Indiana Strike Team is a brand-new team committed to increasing prescribed fire in Southern Indiana and beyond for the next 3-years. The Strike Team Member will participate in maintaining preserve areas; removing exotic species; monitoring species; using and maintaining tools, equipment, and heavy machinery; and serving as part of an extensive state-wide prescribed fire workforce. This is a full-time (average 35 hours per week), hourly position, funded for three years with the possibility to extend, and based at our project office in Nashville, Indiana. This position will close once a strong applicant pool is identified.
- Southern Indiana Strike Team Leader – Job # 55860 – The Southern Indiana Strike Team is a brand-new team committed to increasing prescribed fire in Southern Indiana and beyond for the next 3-years. The Strike Team Leader will supervise other members in maintaining preserve areas; removing exotic species; monitoring species; using and maintaining tools, equipment, and heavy machinery; and serving as part of an extensive state-wide prescribed fire workforce. They will also aide in delivering prescribed fire and wildland fire training for TNC staff and partners. This is a full-time (average 35 hours per week), hourly position, funded for three years with the possibility to extend, and based at our project office in Nashville, Indiana. This position will close once a strong applicant pool is identified.
