City of St. Louis Park, Solid Waste Specialist

What kind of work do you do?

I help to coordinate waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and organic recycling related initiatives for the city.

Were there any particularly memorable or challenging experiences during your time in the Corps?

My most memorable part of the Corps was my crew. It’s amazing how close you can get with your crew mates in such little time!

How did the experience shape your career/life?

The Corps was such a great year to lead me to what was next in my career. One of the projects hosts was Anoka Conservation District, which lead me to a seasonal job with them after the Corps, which helped me land a job with Anoka County in waste reduction, which opened doors for me and brought me to where I am today!
