University of Minnesota students made seed bombs at a BAM meeting.

On
October 30, Conservation Corps partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of
Minnesota to lead a seed bomb activity for the
University of
Minnesota’s Business Association of Multicultural Students
(BAM). Thirty
BAM members who attended the meeting learned about Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s
culture of employee volunteering and then dug their hands into dirt and clay to
make Conservation Corps seed bombs. The seed bombs will be stored over the
winter and planted in the spring by youth crews throughout the Twin Cities.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota named Conservation Corps a corporate
volunteerism partner after the seed bomb success of their employee speed-volunteering
event, CareFest in September.
