Bin Zhu serves as the Finance Director, overseeing both the Finance and Accounting functions.
Bin began her career working for large global for-profit corporations, including Thomson Reuters, BAE Systems, and Toro, where she was responsible for developing multi-billion-dollar operating and strategic financial plans. In recent years, she transitioned to the non-profit sector, serving as a Finance Director for human services organizations. In her last role with Portico Healthnet, she was responsible for Finance, HR, and Administration. She has successfully developed and implemented strategic financial initiatives that have strengthened the financial health and governance of mission-driven organizations. Bin is passionate about applying best practices in financial management to non-profits and driving financial strategies that promote sustainable growth and support the success of an organization’s mission.
She holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In her free time, Bin enjoys outdoor activities, gardening, and playing tennis. She has visited at least 12 national parks, with Everglades National Park being her favorite. The most dangerous road she has ever driven on was the road to the Alpine Visitor Center in Rocky Mountain National Park. Located on tundra land, it is the highest facility of its kind in the National Park Service.
