Wells Fargo equips youth with new tools
Thanks to a generous $12,500 grant from Wells Fargo Foundation Minnesota, the Youth Outdoors fall session started last week with a bevy of new tools for service projects. The out-of-school program for Twin Cities teens has nearly tripled enrollment since it was launched in 2009 and had to borrow tools from other programs. Now there are plenty of shovels, loppers, rakes, saws, pruners and other tools to restore habitats in public green spaces and lead volunteers in neighborhood beautification projects.
