April is Environmental Stewardship Month

As the year-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of AmeriCorps continues, the Corporation for National and Community Service has designated April as Environmental Stewardship Month. Connecting kids to the outdoors

This year, Conservation Corps placed 12 young adults in year-long positions ― called Individual Placements ― with conservation nonprofits or government agencies. These members will serve full-time at a host site for their entire term of service. Alysa Zimmerle, one of this year’s single placements with Project Get Outdoors (GO), will be partnering on a project in northwest Minnesota called Tree Cookies and Mud Pies: A Recipe for Community Health.
