Summer Trail Program – Shoshone National Forest

The Shoshone National Forest South Zone Trails Program manages 500 miles of Wilderness and non-Wilderness trails in the Wind River and the Southern Absarokas Ranges of Western Wyoming.  3 separate Wilderness Areas (Popo Agie, Fitzpatrick, and Washakie).  Serving the diverse trail communities of Lander and Dubois (rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, hiking, cross country skiing, equestrian, fishing, hunting, etc.)  The program is organized into Frontcountry and Backcountry Crews, allowing employees to specialize in different Trails skill sets/techniques.
