Interim crews work through winter

While most field crew terms end in December, a small cadre of corps members stays on for an interim term, right through the coldest part of the winter. This month, a 6- to 8-member crew is working on four projects in Iowa.  Read More

2015 accomplishment highlights

Corps members complete SC disaster deployment

Last Saturday, four corps members returned from a disaster deployment in South Carolina. They worked with FEMA to coordinate volunteer efforts in the wake of torrential storms, which dumped up to two feet of rain in some areas. Read More

With 101 submissions from 25 photographers, we all got a glimpse of the awesome work our crews do every day. After a nail-biting public vote on Facebook, we ended up with a Corps photo contest first – a tie for first place!  Read More

Faces of Tomorrow initiative receives national recognition

The Conservation Corps Faces of Tomorrow initiative – a collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service to help underrepresented communities gain skills and experience in the natural resources field – has received two national awards that recognize its positive impact on individuals and the local community.  Read More
