Matthew Moncrief

Matthew got a degree in Conservation Management from Upper Iowa University. He joined the Corps right after college in 2022, serving as Crew Leader of the Driftless Crew out of Cedar Falls. He served a second term as the Crew Leader of the Linn County Crew out of Cedar Rapids in 2023. Matthew now works as the Iowa Field Coordinator out of Des Moines. As Field Coordinator, Matthew’s job is to help train crews on many different skills such as chain sawing, building trails, timber stand improvement, and invasive species management. During his free time he enjoys spending time outside, hiking, and camping.
