Missy Seidel

Missy Seidel is a Field Coordinator for the Central District. She participated in the program as a crew member in 2015 and as a crew leader in 2016. Her current role with CCMI will be to assist with training new members and supporting their projects throughout the field season. She appreciates the opportunity to continue to work with such a great program and group of people.

Missy is originally from White Bear Lake, MN, but has traveled frequently for school and work. She received a bachelor’s in environmental biology from The University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Additionally, she utilized her AmeriCorps education award to pursue a master’s degree in Ecology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Missy has worked in a variety of sectors for environmental work, including non-profit, academic, government (cities), and for-profit organizations.

In her free time, Missy is an avid hiker. In fact, she has completed the “Triple Crown” of hiking across America! Her new hiking goals include visiting all the MN State parks and completing the 52-hike challenge. Additionally, she enjoys playing board games, viewing new movies, and walking with her dogs (Great Dane & Bulldog).
